Rock band Piggy Jar was founded by guitarist Rob Louws and drummer Albert-Jan de Vries. In the early nineties these guys were looking for a new singer and a new bass player. John auditioned and was picked as the new frontman. The bass player was going to be Rijk-Jan van Alfen.
After this the boys rehearsed their songs in a small soundstudio every week. Soon they were asked to perform on various stages. They were also interviewed for Dutch radio and were even asked to star in a documentary about upcoming bands from Utrecht.
Here you can check out two of John's favourite Piggy Jar tracks, taken from demo sessions...
Piggy Jar recorded a semi-professional demo in 1996. Unfortunately, in 1997 the guys decided to call it a day, since other matters were getting the upper hand.
